Like other providers of recreational real estate, Residence Heijendael Sales is required to post a statement with 'You are investing outside of AFM supervision'. It is a legal requirement in the Netherlands to have an AFM license if investments are offered. However, this license is not required in cases where an exemption applies. For example, the exemption applies to investment objects of more than €100,000.
Why the AFM banner?
The homes that Residence Heijendael Sales offers as investment properties often fall outside the license requirement because they cost more than €100,000. In this case, we are legally obligated to show the AFM statement in our advertising.
More information about AFM and the exemption statement can be found on the website of AFM.
What is AFM
AFM stands for: Authority on Financial Markets. The AFM supervises the financial market, which includes savings, investment, insurance and lending. The AFM ensures that there is confidence in the financial markets and that the market operates in a clear and fair manner.
